Vaccines Tests Blood work

Happy Hearts Feline Sanctuary places a high priority on the health of its cats and kittens. Veterinary care is our largest expense.
  • All animals will be spayed or neutered
  • They are treated for parasites, fleas, mites, ticks and worms. Preventive treatment is continued while in our care.
  • When age appropriate, we test for Heartworm, Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) and Feline Leukemia (FeLV). We vaccinate for FeLV after a negative test. It is our policy that a FeLV positive cat will be found suitable alternative living arrangements and not euthanized simply because it has feline leukemia.
  • Mandatory vaccinations are Rabies, Feline Rhinotracheitis Calici-Panleukopebnia Chlamydia Psittaci (FRCPCP).
  • Click here for our FIP treatment protocol.
